This series of drawings comes together as a toile de jouy pattern, depicting the aftermath of a day of epic debauchery in the woods. Besides making a fun drawing, I intended this to subtly comment on the way humans, specifically “First World” society interacts with nature and each other. Drawing conceptual inspiration from Greek mythology and 18th Century fabric design, this illustration tells a story of ignorance, hubris, and recklessness that so often defines our species.
